Upcoming Middleboro events

A poster on my forum pointed out some of the events that are going on this summer in Middleboro.

This Sunday is a benefit for Nemasket River Productions. Note – I have no affiliation with the group.

I am a new member of the NRP board and have been involved with this event, so I know that we have a fun afternoon planned and some great things to auction off, including four separate vacations at Myrtle Beach, S.C., theatre tickets, restaurant gift certificates, rounds of golf and gift baskets filled with goodies. There will be a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party and, appropriately, a hat contest as well as putting contests and of course croquet. Some yummy snacks and hors d’oeuvres by Dewey Desrosiers and music by the Resonators round out the day. All takes place from 3-7 this Sunday on the grounds of the Masonic Lodge on South Main Street. There will be a huge tent, so it’s rain or shine.

Proceeds will help NRP continue to provide community theater right here in Middleboro. Please come and bring your checkbook/credit card for the auction. Admission is a $20 donation.

Also coming up is the Rotary Craft Show and two different summer series:

And after Sunday’s party, get ready for the Rotary Craft Show on July 10 on the Town Hall lawn, the Summer Concert Series at the Soule Homestead on Saturdays in July and August (featuring the Bumpkin himself one evening), and the Thursday night concerts on the Town Hall lawn starting July 8 to benefit the Park Department and animal shelter. Middleboro rocks in the summertime.
